Order Processing Platform
Order Processing System - OPS™ is a software platform for work orders processing and management.
Transport Order Processing System - TOPS™ it is a version of OPS™ for processing and management of transports work orders.
How It Works
vTOPS™ interconnects transport work order requests with the transport means with an automated, controlled and optimized mechanism.
- Transport work order requests: request for transport of goods, products of various types, merchandise, parcels and micro-parcels, mail and passengers.
- Transport means: land vehicles such as cars, semi-trucks, pick-ups, vans, lorries, trucks, buses etc.
Types of Transport Work Orders Supported.vTOPS™ manages the following types of Transport Work Orders:
- B2B Transport (one-to-one)
- B2B Distribution (one-to-many)
- B2C Transport – Distribution (one-to-many)
- Point-to-Point Transport of Passengers
- Point-to-Multipoint Transport of Passengers
- Round Trip Transport of Passengers
Types of Transportable Items Supported.vTOPS ™supports the following types of Transportable Items:
- Any type of goods and products (one-to-one or one-to-many).
- Orders from retail shops (one-to-one or one-to-many).
- Parcels (< 5 Kgr), micro-parcels (< 1 Kgr) and mail.
- Single passenger of group of passengers.
- Cooked food, frozen foods, fresh vegetables, edible and perishable foods.
Operation
Transport Work Order Registration and Resource Selection:
- Transport requestor logins to the system and “register” one or multiple requests using one of the available mechanisms
- vTOPS™ “analyzes” each transport request in terms of type, quantity, volume of items to be transported, time, destination, and other parameters.
- vTOPS™ “defines” which of the available resources of transport are suitable to undertake the request in terms of type, quality, volume, time, destination, geographical areas etc.
- vTOPS™ “broadcast” the transport request(s) to the available and suitable resources of transport.
- The resources of transport which first "accepts" one or multiple transports request undertakes the transports.
Transport Work Order Monitor and Completion:
- Driver logs odometer reading and time of arrival at the point of picking the transferable items. Logged time, date, location and odometer reading are transferred to the platform.
- Driver also logs additional details related to the type of items, number of items, photocopy of delivery notes or invoices etc. All logged details are transferred to the platform.
- Driver begins his route. On every delivery, time, date and location are logged and transferred to the platform.
- At the end of the route driver logs odometer reading and time. Logged time, date, location and odometer reading are transferred to the platform.
- Depending on the client software used by the driver some or all of the required data are logged automatically.
Interfaces
vTOPS™ platform design is based on API First approach allowing the use of the majority of functions via API.
vTOPS™ by using interfaces to third party systems increases security, automation and productivity:
vTOPS™ Interfaces with third party systems for automation of:
- The issuance of invoices to customers or other third-party entities
- Execution of payments to partners
- For sending SMS messages, Push Notifications, emails…
- The automated reception of transport requests, orders, customer data, mean of transport owners and drivers etc.
- The automated updates regarding the status and change of status of a work order
All interfaces are optional and they are developed per case and per service provider.
